Studios A breathtaking celebration in the heart of the Central Coast hinterland

If you have ever dreamed of a wedding venue that feels like stepping into another world, Fernbank Farm is exactly that. Nestled in the lush hinterland of the Central Coast NSW, this extraordinary property is one of the region’s most distinctive and celebrated wedding destinations, and it is easy to understand why couples travel from across Australia to say their vows here.

We had the privilege of photographing a truly unforgettable celebration at Fernbank Farm, and the images we captured that day remain some of our most cherished work to date.

A Venue Unlike Any Other

From the moment you arrive at Fernbank Farm, the property announces itself with quiet grandeur. The iconic wisteria tunnel, a long arched walkway woven from twisted branches, creates one of the most naturally cinematic backdrops available to any wedding photographer on the Central Coast. Light filters through the canopy in a way that feels almost intentional, casting long shadows across the gravel path below.

The grounds are expansive and immaculately maintained, with a tranquil lake reflecting the ceremony gazebo, rolling green lawns framed by towering cypress trees, and ornate iron gates that open onto the kind of scene you expect to find in the English countryside, not the NSW Central Coast.

Every corner of Fernbank Farm offers a photograph waiting to be taken.

The Ceremony Space

The ceremony gazebo at Fernbank Farm sits at the water’s edge, surrounded by manicured hedges and mature native trees. On the day we photographed, the space had been transformed with an extraordinary floral arch of white roses, blue hydrangeas and cascading wisteria that filled the pavilion from floor to chandelier. The scale of the floral installation was breathtaking, and the way it interacted with the dappled natural light throughout the ceremony created images of genuine editorial quality.

This is a venue that rewards a patient and observant eye. The thoughtful design of the ceremony space means there is always a compelling angle, always a frame within a frame, always a moment worth waiting for.

A Day Full of Extraordinary Moments

What made this particular celebration so memorable was the richness of its details. A stunning horse drawn carriage arrived along the wisteria tunnel, the horses moving through dappled light with a quiet drama that stopped every guest. The bride’s gown was extraordinary, an intricately beaded and embroidered creation with a cathedral length veil that moved beautifully in the breeze across Fernbank’s open lawns.

Inside the homestead, with its warm timber interiors and grand piano bathed in window light, we captured some of the most quietly powerful bridal portraits we have ever made. The combination of natural backlight, period interior details and the sheer beauty of the gown created images that felt entirely timeless.
The celebration extended through the afternoon with cultural entertainment across the lawns, folk dancers in traditional dress performing against the backdrop of the lake and iron gates as golden hour light swept across the property. These are the moments that remind us why we do this work.

Why Fernbank Farm Photographs So Beautifully

We are drawn to venues with genuine character, to the way light moves through a space, to the relationship between a couple and their surroundings. Fernbank Farm has this quality in abundance.

The property offers natural variety across a single site, from intimate enclosed garden spaces to vast open lawns, from the covered ceremony pavilion to the open sky above the lake. This variety means a wedding day here never feels visually repetitive. Every hour brings a different quality of light, a different setting, a different mood.

The estate also sits within a valley that provides a lush green backdrop in every direction, a quality that photographs particularly beautifully against the bright Central Coast sky.
